  1. Resource Description
The Bio-Imaging facility currently provides optical and video microscopy services. The facility is equipped with Nikon TIRF-SIM super-resolution microscope, a Leica TCS SP2 confocal microscope, and a Perkin Elmer UltraVIEW ERS Spinning Disk system. In addition to confocal microscopy the facility is also equipped for bright field, phase contrast, modulation contrast and epi fluorescence microscopy. The facility has three separate wide field image analysis stations: a Nikon Optiphot upright microscope equipped with a color video system, a Nikon Eclipse TE200 inverted microscope with calcium ratio imaging capability, and a Nikon Eclipse Ti inverted system for ultra-fast imaging. The facility has recently expanded with the acquisition of a JEOL JEM-100C/CX Transmission Electron Microscope. The facility is also equipped with a Typhoon 9410 scanner for the quantitation and localization of sub cellular fluorescent and radioactive molecules, and an odyssey system for west-blotting imaging. In addition, Imaris, Volocity and Nikon Elements microscopy software are available for users.
